Flinders Online courses at Flinders University are equivalent to on-campus or in person courses. The same academic standards apply and graduate with the same qualification. You can also attend our in person graduation ceremonies in Adelaide each year.
Yes, some of our Flinders Online courses are accessible to international students offshore. Please check course pages for availability and specific entry requirements for international students.
You can study up to one third of your degree online. Flinders Online is online, but we have many degrees in person or mixed modes. Visit detailed information for international students here.

Flinders Online Kickstart Scholarship
The Flinders Online Kickstart Scholarship offers a 20% discount on student fees for eligible students enrolling in selected Flinders Online courses. The discount applies for the entire duration of your course, as long as you remain enrolled and meet ongoing eligibility requirements. To be considered, you have until Semester One 2025 to apply for an eligible Flinders Online course.

To be considered for the Flinders Online Kickstart Scholarship you have until Semester One 2025 to enrol in the first year of an eligible Flinders Online course. Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements and enrol in an eligible course, will be automatically offered a 20% discount on student fees for their selected course.
The discount applies for the entire duration of your course, as long as you remain enrolled in the eligible program and in online topics through to the completion of the online program and meet ongoing eligibility requirements.
The 20% discount cannot be combined with other Flinders University scholarships.
Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements and enrol in the first year of an eligible course, will be automatically offered a scholarship.

Flinders Online courses offer up to three intakes a year. Applications open early January 2025; however, depending on what course you apply for, you may have the option to start study in March, August or October 2025. Yes. To mark the launch of our new Flinders Online courses, we’re excited to offer a 20% saving on student fees through the Flinders Online Kickstart Scholarship. This saving is available to students who enrol in the first year of eligible degrees before Semester One 2025. There are student allowances available to Australian residents who are engaged in full-time study. These payments are also available to students who are studying online, but you need to meet certain criteria to be eligible. Check your eligibility on the Services Australia website.

Flinders Online courses have been designed specifically for remote study. Content has been created in bite-sized, interactive sections so you can study at your own pace, and rather than recordings of live lectures, various formats (video, text, interactive activities) have been specifically created to enhance online learning and cater to different learning styles.
Content is delivered through our purpose-built Learning Management System - FLO (Flinders Learning Online), and includes short instructional videos, discussion forums, assignments, and interactive activities. Various formats (video, text, interactive activities) are used to allow flexibility and cater to different learning requirements.
Most Flinders Online courses are completely online, however, some may have optional or mandatory in-person components, such as industry placements. Visit the relevant course page for more information.
Flinders Online students have access to academic and enrolment advice, drop-in sessions, technical assistance, emotional/mental wellbeing support, as well as study support. Dedicated support staff are available to help with any queries.

Each Flinders Online course is made of 12 modules that can be completed over 12 weeks. The amount of time you need to study may vary, but it’s typically 8 to 15 hours per module (including assessments).
