What is the future of work?
Will we ever go back to normal?
Although we’re easing restrictions here in South Australia, much of the planet is still in the middle of the world’s largest ‘work from home’ experiment.
Covid-19 social isolation is changing the way we work. But will things ever go back to normal? Or is a new world of home offices, video conferences and remote working here to stay?
Flinders University Strategic Professor John Spoehr is Director of the Australian Industrial Transformation Institute. John has spent the bulk of his career studying how we work, in order to understand the future of work. He has written extensively on economic and industry development, employment, unemployment and the socio-economic impact of change.
John recently joined futurist and former IBM Global Managing Partner, Andrew Grill, livestreaming from London, to look at the pitfalls and potential of life beyond Covid-19.
In a frank and revealing video livestream, John and Andrew took us beyond discussions of the working world as it has been during Covid-19, to explore how we can transform and adapt to a new normal.
John and Andrew discuss ways you can make the most of the current situation, and how individuals and organisations can ensure we move towards a new, inclusive, fair and equitable workplace.
Including a robust Q & A session, watch the recording of two leading experts discussing the future of work.
