Real-world impact
The Gender Consortium has had a long partnership with the Vietnam Women’s Union and Center of Women and Development. Together we are tackling issues of domestic violence and human trafficking in Vietnam.
Through training workshops, mentoring programs and government aid funding, the Gender Consortium has helped improve the management and delivery of services for women and children.
The Graduate Certificate in Gender Mainstreaming Policy and Analysis prepares you for careers requiring specialised knowledge in how to integrate gender considerations into policy making and how to design, implement, monitor and evaluate policies, programs and practices.
Students gain an understanding of best practices in gender mainstreaming and analysis enabling them to apply this knowledge in simulated virtual learning environments, the analysis of case studies, research of specific policy focus areas (eg public health, education, economic management, or human resources), or through an action research topic in their workplace.
Skills and knowledge gained from this course are highly valued in public policy environments, including Australian and international governments, and non-government and corporate entities.
