Fringe on Tour at Flinders

Enjoy the fun and frivolity of Fringe at Flinders, a hand-picked selection of superb Adelaide Fringe performances in Flinders University’s outdoor Plaza.

Wonder at the acrobatic delights, laugh at comedy acts and bounce along to some of the best beatboxers this town has seen!

Bring a picnic or grab a bit to eat from the Hub and Plaza, with a drink from the outdoor pop-up Tavern Bar (evening session only). Relax on the lawns or challenge friends to a game of giant jenga and totem tennis.

At 7.30pm enjoy the twilight screening of cult classic movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, with popcorn and treats available from the candy bar.

Paul Dabek

Part stand-up comic and all magician. Audience favourite and international showman Paul Dabek is set to burst on to Adelaide Fringe stage after another killer season at the Edinburgh Festival.

Dressed to impress, and with more thrust than a NASA lift-off, Dabek’s new show will thrill audiences with a machine-gun delivery that proves he is one of the most entertaining attention seekers on the planet!

Reuben Dot Dot Dot

At the age of 11 Reuben discovered gymnastics and spent the next 5 years training and competing. At the age of 16 he looked at his competition leotard, realised that purple and gold were not his colours, and quit. Since then he’s undertaken traditional acrobatic training from the Beijing Acrobatic Troupe, a huge range of circus and performance skills, and a complete loss of vertigo. Performing professionally around the world at some of the biggest festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe, Christchurch World Buskers’ Festival and Ansan Street Arts Festival, as well as working for circuses as illustrious as Cirque du Soleil – Reuben is a true entertainer.

Time in Space

Nonstop explores the limits and possibilities of the human body physically and mentally, incorporating music that influences the way they move, think and feel.

The acrobats bring a fresh approach to circus by fusing together art forms from tricking, dance, group acrobatics and juggling, into an experimental circus show.

Adam Page

Award-winning multi-instrumentalist Adam Page takes you on a journey through a normal day exploring its sounds and finding the music in everything from brushing your teeth to falling asleep! You’ll walk out of the performance with a newfound love of music that surrounds us in the most random of things.

Quatour Stomp

Quatuor Stomp is a four-man creative powerhouse that combines Circus, Variety and above all Comedy into explosive and colourful performances! Internationally renowned for their originality and versatility, their relentless energy has been conquering thousands of people worldwide since 2008. Presenting a unique blend of skill, humour and charming craziness, these artists bring their high-level acrobatics together in captivating performances for thrill seekers of all ages, leaving everyone touched and amazed.

Tessa Waters (comedy)

Tessa Waters is a Melbourne based multi-award winning comedian with over a decade of experience. A Gaulier trained dynamo and the “Undisputed Queen of Stupidity” (Broadway Baby) and is returning to home soil after a stonking 2016 tour around the globe.

Dream State Entertainment (circus)

Have you ever had a passionate discussion with your partner, and then wanted to throw something sharp, hot, or dangerous at them?

Welcome to a day in the life of award winning duo Sophie and Jacob McGrath. Cutting, witty, with skills to match, this show is a brilliant balance between comedy and danger.

Will he survive another round? Can he be taught?

Those Guys That Dance

Those Guys That Dance is all energy, all charm, all fun and an all male dance cast. The show is produced and choreographed by Lauren Pisaniello with the vision of creating a show that will take you on a journey of power and masculinity through the art of Hip Hop, Break Dance, Street Tap, Commercial and Contemporary styles. Dynamic routines with non-stop action that will leave you dancing in your seats. Who are they? Those guys that dance!

Jamie McDowell and Tom Thum (Hip Hop)

Armed only with a guitar, a distinctive singing voice and a versatile voicebox able to convey any instrument, this duo is unique. Tom’s heavy hitting, world-class beatboxing, accompanies Jamie’s brand of heartfelt songwriting and melodic fingerwork. Playing off each other’s talents, Jamie MacDowell and Tom Thum are the perfect musical match and their live show is made even stronger by their utterly irresistible charm and wit.
