Flinders University Rural and Remote Health SA (FRRHSA) facilitates high quality multidisciplinary health education and research in our State's regional areas.

We have a strong national and international reputation for providing community-engaged inter-professional training for medical, nursing and allied health students. This includes the Doctor of Medicine Rural Stream (MDRS) program and multidisciplinary rural clinical placements.

Through this practice, we bring new and exciting opportunities to actively engage and work with rural communities.

We're helping to create the next generation of rural health professionals through our undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and student placement support.

Rural nursing

Study a full-time nursing degree while living and working in the Riverland. We provide accommodation support for nursing students who undertake Professional Experience Placements at hospitals and health services throughout rural and regional South Australia.

The Flinders University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) comprises of a dedicated team of academics and professional staﬀ located in rural and remote South Australia, focusing on health education, student placements and research.

Opportunities exist for rural applicants through various special entry streams and programs such as the South Australia Rural Medical (SARM) Program (formerly MDRS and Parallel Rural Community Curriculum).
