Gifted to Flinders University Museum of Art in 2009, the Emeritus Professor JVS Megaw archive comprises material relating to Megaw’s academic career and research interests in European archaeology and Indigenous art.
This includes papers connected with the 1985 exhibition The Heritage of Namatjira, encompassing photographic material, photocopies of the diaries of Rex Battarbee (1893-1973), drafts of the exhibition catalogue, and tapes and transcripts of interviews. There are also files of articles and exhibition invitations, and a collection of photographs of Indigenous art works and artists.
Access to our Collections is currently limited to Flinders students, staff and affiliated researchers.
