THIS EVENT HAS ENDED
Join Flinders History Lecturer Dr Romain Fathi for a presentation on French art from the Flinders University Museum of Art.
Dr Fathi will introduce four works (among which a Matisse!) to showcase the rich diversity of the Museum’s collection, while discussing key events in French history. A portrait of a famous scientist who was guillotined, a troublesome anarchist, a protest poster, and a lithograph produced for a French literary monument will be discussed. While far from their place of creation, these French pictures enable us to understand aspects of French culture and history here in Adelaide.
Come along to hear how and why!
