Wellbeing and resilience are intrinsically linked to protection against the development of mental illness, and recovery from mental health issues. Higher degrees of wellbeing are associated with lower hospitalisation rates, improved recovery from surgery and illness, and improved quality of life.
Flinders University is conducting research to improve wellbeing and resilience across the country, testing innovative ways to build mental wellbeing across general and target population groups.
Flinders Órama Institute has partnered with the SAHMRI Wellbeing and Resilience Centre to deliver a new program called the Be Well Plan; a program that helps you craft a unique evidence based strategy matched to your needs and your unique circumstances, so you can stay feeling well and grounded.
The Be Well Plan is a 5-session (10 hour) program that teaches you to find and master easy-to-use skills to build your mental health, wellbeing and resilience. It is currently being offered for free.
