Agent responsibilities

Flinders University expects all our agents to act ethically and professionally whilst adhering to the requirements of the Education Service for Overseas Student Act 2000 (ESOS Act) and Department of Home Affairs.  

The obligations are outlined in the agent agreement and include but are not limited to:

• Promote the University and its courses of study for the purpose of recruiting students within the agreed territories.
• Ensuring students are Genuine Temporary Entrants and Genuine Students.
• Promote the Courses with integrity and accuracy.
• Provide accurate and honest information to prospective students.
• Verify that all documentation submitted to Flinders is genuine.
• Certify all academic and identity documentation.
• Familiarise students with the Flinders offer letter and policies, especially relating to fees, transfers, academic integrity and conditions enrolment.
• Uphold the high reputation of the University and of the Australian international education sector.
• Only undertake authorised promotional and marketing activities that reference the University.
• Submit all promotional material bearing the Flinders Official Symbol to the University for approval.
