Flinders University ‘Hello Summer’ campaign
The competition is open from 2 November 2020 and entries must be received no later than 11:59pm ACDT on Thursday, 31 December 2020. The prize draw will be conducted by 12 noon on Wednesday 13 January 2021 at Flinders University (Alumni Relations Office) Bedford Park, SA 5042. The winner will be notified via email within 14 days from the date of the draw.

Flinders University ‘Hello Summer’ campaign (“the Competition”)
Flinders University ABN 65 542 596 200 of Sturt Road Bedford Park SA (“the Promoter”) is conducting the Competition.
ENTRY.
1. Competition entry is free.
2. Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these Competition Terms and Conditions.
3. Competition entry is only open to Flinders University alumni (“Entrants”). Alumni are graduates of Flinders University who have been formally conferred with a degree from Flinders University.
4. Entry into the Competition is by online lodgement of the ‘Hello Summer’ form with required fields entered and either activity/location recommendation provided or business discount included and submitted at flinders.edu.au/hellosummer. Entry forms become the property of the Promoter on submission of the form and will not be returned by the Promoter.
5. Once an entry is submitted, no changes to or withdrawal of that entry will be permitted.
6. The Competition will open on 2 November 2020 and close on 31 December 2020. No entries will be accepted by the Promoter after 11:59pm ACST on 31 December 2020.
PRIZE
7. The prize available to be won in the Competition is a 10.9-inch iPad Air Wi-Fi 256GB, valued at AUD$1,129 (Prize).
8. The Promoter’s employees within the Office of Communication, Marketing and Engagement are not eligible to win the Prize.
9. The winner of the Prize will be determined by random draw from the pool of valid entries. The draw will occur before 12 noon on 13 January 2021 at Flinders University (Alumni Relations Office).
10. The selection of the winning entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide identity and/or proof of entry eligibility/qualification.
12. The Promoter will notify the Prize winner by email within 14 days after the date of the draw and provide the winner with particulars of how the Prize is to be delivered or collected.
13. Entry forms and details of the Prize winner will be retained by the Promoter for at least 3 months after the Prize draw.
14. The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or taken for cash.
15. The Prize must be accepted by the winner subject to any applicable conditions, restrictions or expiry/validity dates. The winner of the Prize is solely responsible for complying with any Prize conditions and expiry.
16. The Promoter makes no warranties or representations about the fitness for purpose or suitability of a Prize and will not take responsibility for the quality or fitness for purpose of the Prize or the failure of the Prize to be of merchantable quality. If liability under terms implied by legislation cannot be excluded, the liability of the Promoter is limited to re-supplying the relevant goods or services comprising the Prize or paying the cost of replacing them.
CONDUCT OF THE COMPETITION
17. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
a) inaccurate/incorrect transcription of Entry information;
b) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the Competition; or
c) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Competition.
18. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify from the Competition any person who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms and conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition.
LIABILITY
19. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the taking or use of a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
USE OF INFORMATION
20. By entering this Competition, entrants consent to the Promoter collecting, using and disclosing all of the information contained in the entrant’s entry (personal or otherwise) (Entry Information) in connection with the Competition and for the Promoter’s marketing, promotional and/or student recruitment purposes. The entrant grants a perpetual, non-transferable, royalty free licence to the Promoter to use, publish and communicate any part or all of the Entry Information, whether in original or modified form for the above purposes.
21. If an entrant operates a business and provides the Promoter with a business name, marks and/or logo for use, the entrant: a. (a) represents and warrants (and at all times, continues to represent and warrant) that the Promoter’s use of the entrant’s business name, marks and / or logo will not infringe the rights of any third party;
(b) indemnifies the Promoter against all losses, damages, liabilities and costs which may arise by reason of a breach of the warranty contained in clause 19(a) above; and(c) grants to the Promoter a non-exclusive licence to use the entrant’s business name, marks and/or logo in connection with the Competition.
22. Promoter collects, processes, stores and discloses personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at www.flinders.edu.au/privacy. The policy also contains information about how entrants can complain about a privacy breach, how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint, how entrants can seek access to the personal information the University holds about them and seek the correction of such information, and how they can opt out of receiving direct marketing messages.
23. By entering this Competition, the entrant consents to the Promoter announcing the winner’s first name within the Flinders University February 2021 Alumni electronic newsletter, eNcounter and the Flinders in Touch staff newsletter - if they win a prize in the Competition.
