Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University has delivered high quality teaching programs and research in nutrition and dietetics since 1977.
Our programs have both a national and international reputation for exceptional curriculum and graduates.
Many of the staff are doctorate qualified Accredited Practising Dietitians, recognised experts in their fields, experienced teachers and researchers.
Discover the role of food and nutrients in the body and the prevention and treatment of food-related diseases as we prepare you for work in the health, food business and research industries, through our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
We offer a range of flexible degrees: online, on-campus, part-time and full-time.
This includes the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (accredited by the Dietitians Association of Australia) and the Bachelor of Human Nutrition, which is also offered in combination with the Bachelor of Exercise Science.
Our team of experts tackle the big issues such as childhood nutrition, obesity and healthy ageing, which provides evidence we need for effective intervention and practice throughout the community.

We have strong partnerships with local government, schools and community groups and also provide nutrition consultancy services to businesses and organisations.
Our expertise, knowledge and experience allow us to translate the most recent research into on-the-ground practice. Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders has a complement of academic and research staff who represent the highest levels of expertise in all matters relating to nutrition. Many of our staff began their careers in community, public health, food service or clinical practice, and consequently bring capabilities that are grounded in practice.
