As an undergraduate student here at Flinders University, it is possible to apply to transfer to most other undergraduate degrees by submitting an internal transfer application.
If you have studied at another institution and wish to transfer to Flinders, or the course is not available for internal transfer, or you wish to transfer from a postgraduate course (ie Graduate Certificate to a Graduate Diploma or Masters) you will need to apply via the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).
International students apply for internal transfer through Flinders International. Please contact Flinders International for more information.
Semester 1 offers are normally made from mid-January onwards, once semester 2 results become available. Some early offers may be made to those whose assessment has been finalised.
Semester 2 offers are normally made from early-July after semester 1 results are finalised.
Earlier offers may be made to students who meet the minimum academic requirements for transfer.

Flinderslink is a guaranteed entry scheme for current Flinders University students who achieve the required Grade Point Average in one full-time equivalent semester of study or more and want to transfer to another course. This is a good option if you don’t get your first preference or if you decide to change career direction. Any additional requirements also need to be met.
Combining your degree is a great way to pursue multiple passions and broaden your career opportunities. A combined degree gives you an advantage for employment in competitive and rapidly changing workplaces, both in Australia and overseas.
If you want to study an approved combined degree option you can apply through the internal transfer process.
If you successfully complete the Flinders Foundation Studies program, you can apply to transfer to your preferred course.
While selection for most courses is competitive, entry is guaranteed into some courses.
Students who are currently admitted to a Bachelor degree, can apply to complete a second study area within the Bachelor of Letters. Consisting of only 36 units, the course is normally studied part-time over three years thus adding one extra year to your overall program of study.

If you are currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Nutrition stream) or Bachelor of Human Nutrition at Flinders University prior to 2022, you can apply to transfer to the third year of the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics. You must have successfully completed at least two years of full-time equivalent study in one of these courses following a specific study plan and achieved a grade point average of Credit or above in this study to be eligible to apply.
When you apply you will be required to upload a supporting statement outlining your interest in food and nutrition. Your supporting statement will count for 30% of an overall selection score, the remaining 70% will be based on academic merit using your grade point average.
Students who have completed one of the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Nutrition stream) or the Bachelor of Human Nutrition or are graduates of another Bachelor degree are NOT eligible to apply to transfer into Year 3 of the Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics and should apply for the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics through SATAC (Postgraduate SATAC code: 2CM093).
Please note this pathway will no longer be available to students commencing the Bachelor of Human Nutrition or Health Sciences (Nutrition Stream) in 2022 onwards.

If you are currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Science and have completed or are about to complete the first year (36 units or more), you can apply to transfer to the Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine). You must have successfully completed at least one year of full-time equivalent study and normally have achieved a grade point average of Credit or above in this study to be eligible to apply. Selection will be based on the GPA achieved from the study within the Bachelor of Medical Science only.
Successful applicants will transfer into either Year 2, 3 or 4 of the Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) depending on the amount of previous study completed in the Bachelor of Medical Science.
Places in the Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) are limited.
*Applicants should note that Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) is not included as an eligible course under the Reserved Sub-quota for the Doctor of Medicine at Flinders University. Graduates of the Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) will only be considered under the Flinders Graduate Sub-quota.

If you are currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Science you can apply to transfer to the second year of the Bachelor of Medical Science (Vision Science)/Master of Optometry double degree. You must have successfully completed at least one year of full-time equivalent study following a specific study plan and achieved a grade point average of Credit or above in this study to be eligible to apply.
Applicants who meet the entry requirements will be required to participate in an interview. Your interview score will count for 35% of an overall selection score and the remaining 65% will be based on academic merit using your grade point average.
The course also offers an Indigenous sub-quota and a rural and remote sub-quota for eligible students. To be considered for one of these sub-quotas you must submit the relevant declarations with your application.
