Why study History at Flinders
You will gain a strong understanding of the big issues that underpin society throughout the ages. History deals with important topics that greatly impact populations today: global migration, the population explosion, war, famine and human impacts on the environment.
You will complete eight topics from a range of history related topics available. These topics aim to provide you with extended knowledge of cultures and societies in a number of temporal and geographical contexts, support you to develop perspectives on historical events and agents and gain insight into how these perspectives contribute to historical discourse, both within the discipline of history and more broadly. You will also learn how to undertake historical research and reporting using the normative ethical standard of the discipline of history.
