The postgraduate program in business administration is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills for a successful career as a manager in a range of organisations. These courses may also provide graduates the opportunity to pursue entrepreneurial interests or work in a consultant capacity.

These courses prepare you for a wide range of career opportunities in areas including business, international marketing, banking and finance, management consulting, negotiations and planning. The MBA prepares you for a wide range of business career opportunities and graduates with significant management or supervisory work experience will be prepared for successful careers in senior management.
Potential occupations include:
The program aims to develop your knowledge and skills across areas including strategic management, financial management, human resource management and marketing management. It provides you with technical knowledge of accounting, finance and economics, and an understanding of the context in which organisations operate. Core topics cover areas such as accounting for managers, financial management, strategic marketing, data analysis for decision making, economics for business, global business with an Asia-Pacific focus, and leadership theory, practice and experience.
You may have the opportunity to undertake an industry placement or project.
Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification and must have a minimum of three years' full-time equivalent post-degree work experience. Applicants who do not hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification but have seven years' full-time equivalent (two years' (full-time equivalent) of which are at management level) relevant work experience will also be considered.
Applicants for the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification and have a minimum of three years' full-time equivalent post-degree work experience; or hold the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Flinders University or equivalent qualification and have either a minimum of seven years' full-time equivalent pre-certificate work experience or three years' full-time equivalent post-certificate work experience.
Applicants for the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Health) must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in a health-related discipline and have a minimum of four years' full-time equivalent professional work experience in the health or aged care sector by the commencement date of the course; or hold the Graduate Certificate of Business Administration from Flinders University or equivalent qualification and have a minimum of four years' full-time equivalent professional experience working in the health or aged care sector by the commencement date of the course.
Applicants for the MBA and MBA (Finance) must normally hold a bachelor degree from an approved tertiary institution, with at least three years post-degree work experience or have completed the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (having met the current entry requirements of that qualification).
Applicants for the MBA (Health) must normally hold a bachelor degree and have a minimum of four years' full-time equivalent professional experience working in the health or aged care sector after completion of the degree by the commencement date of the course OR hold a bachelor degree in a health-related field and have at least 3 years' experience in the health or aged care industry and intend to study part-time (and thus add to professional experience while studying).
