Cybersecurity aims to protect the safety of important data and the systems that store it, such as health or financial records and national security information.
This course looks at providing students with the fundamentals that will underpin ongoing professional development, preparing graduates for further study or for a career in a computing or cybersecurity related field.
You will learn how to support the development of computer-based solutions appropriate to the social, political, international, economic and environmental contexts in which they are applied.

Cybersecurity career paths are diverse and rewarding - spanning both technical and business management. Our cybersecurity certification will help you launch or progress your career as a cybersecurity professional.
Participants gain a University Certificate which is AQF Accredited.
The program also provides a pathway or credit into the Bachelor of Information Technology for participants who wish to pursue further study in the future.
All our Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Computer Science degrees are accredited by the Australian Computer Society at the professional level. Professional ICT courses accredited by the Australian Computer Society are recognised internationally under the Seoul Accord. Graduates meet the academic requirements for attaining chartered status as ICT professionals.

Applicants can apply for this course using Year 12 qualifications, previous Higher Education study, TAFE/VET qualifications, or through Adult Entry (STAT/Foundation Studies/tertiary preparation course).
For applicants using their SACE (Year 12) results (or equivalent), entry is subject to achieving a minimum selection rank of 60.
