ENGINEER YOUR OWN CAREER
Considering a career in engineering, but not sure you studied enough mathematics or physics in high school?
Guess what. You can still start your road to an engineering career.
If you have little or less maths or physics, it doesn’t mean that you can’t study engineering. It just means you may have to take a different pathway to get to the degree of your choice.
That’s where Flinders’ NEW COURSE for 2021, the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) – General Entry comes in. If you’ve passed SACE Stage 2 General Mathematics or SACE Stage 1 Mathematics, you’re already on the right track. The General Entry pathway will boost your maths and physics to bring you up to speed with what you need. It just takes a little more time (one semester at most) to get started. Easy.
You’ll kick off your studies with topics such as electronics, engineering design, professional skills, engineering programming, engineering physics and materials, engineering mechanics, and mathematics.
As soon as you can demonstrate the required level of competence in maths and physics, you can transfer to the named Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree of your choice.
There are no upfront fees, and you’ll be opening the door to a huge range of engineering specialisations, such as:
You’ll also be taking the first steps on the road towards a career in sectors such as telecommunications, robotics, automotive electronics, smart instrumentation, security and defence.
Flinders’ engineering degrees are designed to take you from learning to earning. You’ll study at our $120 million hub of innovation and entrepreneurship at Tonsley, take part in a nationally recognised industry placement program and network with teachers, mentors and businesses who will prepare you for the workplace.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) – General Entry will help you take your first steps towards a rewarding engineering career.
We offer one-on-one appointments with our prospective student team to discuss career options, pathways, and course and entry requirements.
At Flinders, there are multiple entry pathways to become an accredited engineer.
