It’s always worth marking your MBA milestones. That’s why Flinders awards staggered qualifications as you complete certain MBA requirements. Finish four subjects and you’ll get a Graduate Certificate of Business Administration. After eight subjects, you’ll earn the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration. And after 12 subjects, Flinders will award you the full MBA degree (and a very big pat on the back).
You can fit your study around your lifestyle and study 100% online, on campus or mixed mode, selecting formats that suit you best through the MBA journey.
If you elect to study 100% online, you’ll complete each subject over a nine week study period, which contain a mix of interactive assessments, including assignments and time-bound tests along the way, and one week to reflect and recharge. There are 4 study periods per year, and depending on topic availability and pre-requisites you can fast track your degree.
If you elect to study on campus at Victoria Square in the Adelaide CBD, you will attend one 2-hour seminar weekly and one 1.5-hour tutorial, over a total of a nine-week study period.
On campus seminars are held on weekday evenings between 5pm and 8.30pm at Victoria Square, Flinders University’s Adelaide CBD campus.
Some topics are only available online.
"I chose a Master of Business Administration at Flinders University because I want to further my career and deliver practical learning for me."
Mr Joel Cross, Master of Business Administration student
“The MBA is designed for people looking for a career change, looking for a promotion, looking to further their own self-knowledge, or to launch their own business.”
Professor Roberta Crouch, MBA Director, Flinders University
The course, particularly the leadership topic, really made you grasp and redefine your own leadership style and apply it in your current setting. I am most grateful that the course helped me not only prepare for, but also consider my future career aspirations. I was really inspired to lean in and have the courage to take the leap for other leadership opportunities, including my current position. I appreciated that my classmates and academics all came from different professional backgrounds and we were all able to challenge our pre-existing ideas of leadership and how we could apply ourselves effectively. What also stood out for me was the accessibility of the program, especially the online portals being intuitive and easy to navigate. In addition, at Flinders, the academics were always incredibly responsive and thoughtful in their replies which made the distant learning experience really positive.
Graduates of the Master of Business Administration program are competent in the functional areas of business: accounting and finance, human resource management, leadership, marketing, and operations. Yes. Flinders awards staggered qualifications as you complete certain MBA requirements. Finish four subjects and you’ll get a Graduate Certificate of Business Administration. After eight subjects, you’ll earn the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration. And after 12 subjects, Flinders will award you the full MBA degree. Each stage represents the completion of a post-graduate qualification and an exit point.
The Flinders MBA can be completed in 18 months or up to 3 years. Taken part-time online, you will complete two topics over 13 weeks. You will be advised of due dates as you commence each topic, so you can plan your studies around your work and personal commitments.
