This degree is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
The program prepares you to develop nursing skills, relate all aspects of body function with nursing practice, and continue gaining clinical experience in various health care settings. Topics cover areas such as the nursing profession and independent learning, indigenous health and cultural safety, pathophysiology and pharmacology, clinical governance, decision-making, and transition to professional practice.
Professional experience placements prepare you for the workplace, both simulated in state-of-the-art laboratories and in clinical venues in rural and metropolitan South Australia.
In order to complete the degree, you will need to fulfil the following preclinical placement requirements to undertake compulsory clinical placements:

Applicants must hold a current practising certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
This program is for hospital trained nurses or nurses with a three-year diploma of nursing who are seeking to advance their qualification to a degree. Applicants with a completed Bachelor of Nursing need not apply.
Applicants must provide documentary evidence of eligibility for registration (for example, a practising certificate) with a nurses’ registration authority in the country in which they originally registered.
Applicants who are registered nurses in countries other than Australia must also hold an approved Diploma of Nursing (or equivalent) from an approved tertiary institution.
