The Master of Paramedic Science aims to equip you with the knowledge and judgement to successfully perform the role of extended care paramedic or industrial paramedic, or to pursue research.
It provides the knowledge, attitudes and values needed to provide emergency care, and extended scope of practice in and out of hospital settings or in an industrial workplace setting. You will develop your ability to make complex decisions regarding a patient’s ongoing care or their capacity to continue working in the industrial setting, as well as provide leadership relevant to your field or practice.
The Master of Paramedic Science will also equip you with skills in accessing and appraising scientific and clinical information and foster an attitude that will assist your further professional development.

Graduates of this course may complete the academic requirements for employment as an industrial paramedic or extended care paramedic dependent on which stream of the masters is completed. Graduates who complete the research stream may be eligible to apply for a higher degree by research in this field.
