The State Theatre Company of South Australia (STCSA) is a vital component of the state’s dynamic cultural sector and fosters an environment of creativity, innovation, awareness and accessibility. It is the flagship theatre company of South Australia and is a resident artistic company of the Adelaide Festival Centre.

An introduction to the creative industries Development of skills in performance through devising and improvisation An introduction to the behind-the-scenes planning of events Creation of a production plan for a performance or arts event |

An introduction to what it takes to be an entrepreneur in the creative industries Hands-on experience facilitating educational arts experience Studies on the best practice for collaborating with diverse community groups and organisations Training in how to identify needs and gaps in the industry and effectively design, manage, facilitate and implement creative arts projects. |

The opportunity to take the lead, pitching and delivering your own unique projects while simultaneously engaging with the arts industry in the crucial areas of policy and leadership. Development of a unique business plan, setting you up for your career. An understanding of how your practice fits within the broader creative industries landscape historically, how policy influences practice, who gets to make decisions in the industry and how you might change the future of the creative industries. |
Practical, industry-focussed experience is woven throughout this degree. You’ll have the opportunity to work in collaboration with other artists, industry stakeholders and community organisations.
You’ll produce performance events, and develop skills in management, funding, and communication in the cultural industries.
There are opportunities to take your studies overseas with a student exchange program.

Applicants can apply for this course using Year 12 qualifications, previous higher education study, TAFE/VET qualifications, or through adult entry (STAT/Foundation Studies/tertiary preparation course).
For applicants using their SACE (Year 12) results (or equivalent), entry is subject to achieving a minimum selection rank of 60.
When choosing your preferences through SATAC, other Flinders degrees you might want to include in your list are the Bachelor of Media Arts and the Bachelor of Arts.

If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements and need to improve your English language proficiency, you can do so through our approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers.
This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test.
If you don’t meet our academic entry requirements, you can still gain entry to Flinders University through academic pathways programs provided by the Flinders International Study Centre.
