Undergraduate Certificate in Acting

The course aims to provide students with the opportunity to develop introductory training in acting and performance alongside practising industry professionals. The course is designed for those with a desire to build a career in the performing arts industry, as well as anyone wanting to increase their confidence in acting and public speaking skills
The course is completed in six months of full-time study, and students can continue further studies in the Bachelor of Creative Industries (Theatre & Performance) with credit or choose to audition for the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Drama) upon completion.
Student must complete 18 units of study including:
- DRAM1001 Theatre in Context
- DRAM1100 Acting Fundamentals
- DRAM1101 The Actor and the Text
And choose one of the following:
- COMS1001 Academic and Professional Communication
- CREA1001 Introduction to the Creative Arts
- CREA2104 Writing for Performance
- SCME1000 Film Form and Analysis
Undergraduate Certificate in Industry 4.0

The Undergraduate Certificate in Industry 4.0 exposes you to the digital technology that will drive the future. It covers key topics of innovation and Industry 4.0, 3D printing, robotics, IoT, cybersecurity, smart industries and design thinking, also including a digital transformation professional project.
The course is completed in six months of full-time study and students can continue further studies in the Diploma of Digital Technologies and the Bachelor of Information Technology.
Student must complete 18 units of study:
- COMP1210 Cybersecurity for a Connected World (4.5 units)
- ENGR1210 Innovations and Industry 4.0 (4.5 units)
- ENGR1214A Digital Transformation Professional Project (4.5 units)
- ENGR1214B Digital Transformation Professional Project (4.5 units)
Undergraduate Certificate in French

This course aims to provide a sound, basic level of proficiency in French within a curricular framework that fosters the development of linguistic and cultural competency. It will introduce students to the cultural practices, artistic expression, and composition of French and francophone societies.
The course is completed in six months of full-time study, and students can continue further studies in the Bachelor of Arts with credit.
Student must complete 18 units of study:
- FREN1201 Introductory French Part 1 (4.5 units)
- FREN1202 Introductory French Part 2 (4.5 units)
- FREN2212 French Cultural Icons (4.5 units)
- LING1002 World Languages (4.5 units)
Undergraduate Certificate in Spanish

This course aims to provide a sound, basic level of proficiency in Spanish within a curricular framework that fosters the development of linguistic and cultural competency. It will introduce students to a wide body of specific and cross-disciplinary knowledge relative to Spanish and the cultural practices, artistic expression, and composition of Hispanic societies.
The course is completed in six months of full-time study, and students can continue further studies in the Bachelor of Arts with credit.
Student must complete 18 units of study:
- SPAN1201 Introductory Spanish Part 1 (4.5 units)
- SPAN1202 Introductory Spanish Part 2 (4.5 units)
- SPAN2211 Keys to the Spanish and Latin American Worlds (4.5 units)
- LING1000 Strategies for Language Learning (4.5 units)
Fees
These courses are Commonwealth Supported.
Fees can be deferred under the HECS-HELP scheme. You pay back your HELP debt through the tax system once you earn above the compulsory repayment threshold (2020-21 $46,620). The repayment rate depends on your amount of taxable income.

All applications for Higher Education Certificates are submitted through the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) using the SATAC codes below:

When to apply
Applications to commence in July are now open. SATAC will notify you of your offer on behalf of Flinders University by emailing the offer letter to your last recorded email address in your application.
